Dr Ru Shi: “Insecure West Australian Government pushes a third party app claiming it is extremely secure."
ServiceWA App opens doorway to Social Credit system
By Alex Magnusson 16 Jan 2022
Just when most Australian States have redefined close contacts and given up contact tracing. West Australia pushes the ServiceWA App.
“[With] the ServiceWA app, you won’t need to show identification with your Covid-19 digital certificate to enter businesses and venues like you would with a certificate stored in your digital wallet or hard copy. This is because you use a digital identity to set up the ServiceWA app. Your digital identity helps you prove who you are online, meaning the app is safe, secure and not accessible by anyone else.”' Health Minister Amber-Jade Sanderson.
Information collected using ServiceWA may be disclosed to, and used by:
authorities with powers and responsibilities in relation to COVID-19 (and those helping them) such as the State Emergency Coordinator, the Chief Health Officer and other authorities for the purpose of overseeing and managing WA's COVID-19 response);
Services Australia to prevent, or otherwise in connection with any investigation in relation to, fraud or misuse of COVID-19 digital certificates;
those to whom the WA Government is required or authorised (by law) disclose your information (e.g. a court or tribunal, or another government body); and the WA Government's other service providers for the purpose of assisting the WA Government to operate, manage, use and improve ServiceWA.
Dr Ru Shi says “Even the privacy statement contradicts the claim (app is safe, secure and not accessible by anyone else.) But shares data with: Another government body, Other service providers, other authorities and those helping them. That’s because a Social credit system takes a collaboration of multiple agency’s and third party’s. “
It will infringe on people’s privacy. The government can link the vaccine passport to your everyday life and financial status. It is not difficult to imagine that this is paving the way for the promotion of the CCP-style social credit system, and 1984-style tracking and monitoring of citizens. By then, anyone who criticizes the government will be barred from entering certain places and even his/her bank account will be frozen.
